    Am I totally insane here? Problems with partners ex...?

    Thank author of this post/commentMy gf has two kids with her ex. There are CONSTANT ongoing battles between them for visitation, money, etc. In addition he has substance abuse issues that cause stress. I have tried SO HARD to help. I have put her in contact with resources to help with the issue of their safety due to his substance abuse, I have listened, etc. She continuously lets him push the envelope and get away with things. They end up in big fights, and she won't just hang up. They fight, she gets pissy with me. He does something wrong, she gets pissy with me. I will most definitely state my opinion on the topic of his behaviors, especially since they always lead to her being pissed at ME. Now she gets mad at me for that too. Today she said she was anxious, just out of the blue. I asked her why she felt that way. She said she didn't want to talk about it. Then she said it was because of the ex. I tried to get her to talk about it, and once again she got pissed at me. She said she didn't want to talk about it because it would just cause something between us. What the hell? I told her if she would stop attacking me or getting mad at what she THINKS I will do or say then we can just talk and it won't be an issue. I am so sick of this, and so frustrated. Yet, she has managed to make me feel like I am the one who is doing something wrong. Honestly, she talks to the abusive ex in a nicer manner than me half the time. Am I being too sensitive or something? All I know is I don't think I can do this anymore.
