Am I heading for a Heartbreak?

Thank author of this post/commentI recently reconnected with the one that got away, my college crush. I was crazy about her back then, and I find myself falling for her again. She just told me that she is bipolar with a history of suicide attempt and self-injury.

She has also told me that she is currently in a mildly manic state, but is largely stabilized through medication. How much of what she says and does can I trust, when she's manic? What is the likelihood that a person who has 5 previous suicide attempts will try again?

The reemergence of an old flame is intriguing, but I'm also worried. Any advice will be genuinely appreciated.

 It really depends on what kind of love you have for her. If you can honestly say that you have a strong committed love for her and you think she might also have some feelings for you, then you will be able to commit to her and support her for as long as is needed. If it is merely based on attraction, then I do not see that going very far.
