Yahoo! Answers: psychology question: bystander effect?

Thank author of this post/commentWhat are the "subjects" called who are apart of an experiment but not actually being observed, the ones that are just there to help mislead the actual subjects. For example Latane and Darleys smoke filled room experiment, the two strangers that were in the room with the actual subject.
