Answers: Why do Christians class doing things such as hypnotism/maigician It makes no sense why Christians class people like magicians and hypnotists and illusionists as being acts of evil and the devil. Can somebody please tell me why??? There's no way that people like Derren Brown can be "possessed by the devil" or something stupid like that because he is a magician/illusionist/hypnotist/mind controller. because he is full on Christian. |
| I don't think these are acts of the devil. Magic is simply entertainment and not to ruin someone's life. It is learned through rigid training. The same holds true with hypnotism. I presume hypnotist has skills in doing such thing but they are not acts of devil. Basically, as Christians, it calls for the power of faith. If you firmly believe to God, you show it in any means. |
| I see nothing wrong and evil in magic. Magic are tricks, learned from continuous training and studying. I have been watching a television program wherein an expert magician would do magic tricks and after doing a trick would then reveal how he did that. There are no hocus focus, just pure magic. And so we should not worry watching magic shows because there is no demonic in it. Good day to all. |
| Hi there! I actually agree with you guys. I don't see anything wrong magic and hypnotism. In fact, many of us are amazed and entertained with magic. I think that we just have a wrong notion on these two things. Thank you so much and have a great day to all of you guys! |
| Christianity is brainwashing. It is the only religion that says "we're right and anyone else is the devil.". Other world religions allow tolerance for other faiths except Christianity. |
| I agree with you guys, I don't think that there something wrong of watching magic or hypnotizing. It is just showing how people make use of their talent to entertain people. I really admire these magicians because they entertain me and because I love magic. Being a Christian have responsibilities as believers of God.
