Answers: 4th child early labor for 10 days now?
Help!!! For the past 10 days I have been in and out of the hospital for prolonged early labor. This is my 4th child and I have a repeat c-section scheduled for July 1st. I'm currently 37 weeks and 4 days. I've never made it past 38 weeks in a pregnancy. My contractions have been 5-10 minutes apart consistently for 10 days now. 1 centimeter dialated and 70% effaced. I can't sleep. I can barely eat. I vomit 6-8 times a day from the pain (puking during labor is the norm for me.) I've had so many I.V.s for dehydration that I look like a pin cushion. The baby is doing perfect so I'm the only one suffering. I have a history of dysfunctional labor causing me to not dialte. I've never made it past 2 centimeters by myself. I've tried all the old wives tales on how to start active labor with no success. So my question is, what are my rights??? Can I demand a c-section now? Can they legally make me suffer this long when I'm having a c-section anyways? Why are they doing this? Any personal stories that are similar? Please no rude answers. I know the baby will come when shes ready but shes been trying to come for 10 days now!!!
