    What to do

I came home early from Kuwait with a severe hand injury. My wife ment me at the airport, 2 days later I was served with divorce papers. I have been told by her that I was "unhealthy " for her and we have had minimal contact.

What shall I do about the situation?

Thank author of this post/commentactually bro i disagree with bim. i also am in the military [usmc] and my wifes biggest fear is i will get injured when im deployed, or maybe worse. the first time my unit went to train for deploying my wife did the same thing yours did when we got back. she said it was better to end it now so my kids wouldn't have me there all the time and lose me so quickly.i told her that no matter what ever happened i will always find a way back to her and that my love for her would always keep me moving no matter what. perhaps your wife is afraid that next time time it wont be just a hand injury. i think you need to talk to her not so much about the divorce or trying to save your marriage, but try to understand where she is coming from, and just comfort her the best you can. i know it sounds a little out there but it worked for me, her realization of the combat realm may have put her on the defensive side of her own pain. the thought that next time you may not come home at all may be all to real for her. so my advice is just to talk to her and try to comfort those mixed up emotions and thoughts that she is having right now. i hope everything works for you, i know how hard balancing your life and the military's perception of life can be. let me know how things go man. semper fidelis.

Man you are in a terrible situation. This is where the beginning is most serious for one to consider, most essential. Love is not a thing to play with. No one should marry simply for the sake of sex, money or anything of the sort that relates to vanity and greed. A marriage is unison between two souls, and it really ought not be broken.
