Distribution of annuity

I know that inheritances are not considered part of marital property if kept separate, but what about the monthly proceeds from an inherited annuity? If I use the monthly proceeds for household purposes, but not the principal, what happens in a divorce? Does the pricipal then become mutual property?

Also, if my inheritance consists of life insurance and stock, for example, and I use the life insurance but not the stock for household expenses, is the stock still protected?
