    Pimples

I feel so depressed with all my pimples. I think people sit there and stay at me thinking what it would be like to pop all my pimples.

    Hi Ted,

Welcome to my discussion board. You did not say how old you are but pimples are normal for adolescence and sometimes stay with the individual much longer. It has been my experience that people would not worry so much about what others think of them if they only realized how seldom others actually think of them.

There are a number of medications, some available "over-the-counter and others available by prescription that should help you with your acne problem.

However, I am also hearing that you have a lack of self-esteem and may be using the acne problem as an excuse for feeling sorry for yourself, which is also normal but not very productive. If you will read my other articles you will find that I believe that your physical body is only your "earth-suit" that allows you to live on this planet. The acne is not important to anyone else but you.

Once you can accept that you are created in the image of our Maker and are loved just as you are, the acne will no longer seem as important to you. It is your spirit and soul that are immortal and not the flesh. How you live your life, your integrity, your compaddion for others, your love and acceptance of those different from you, all have greater importance than a case of acne.

Those that genuinely care for you will not be bothered by skin blemishes. And those that are bothered by them are not worth your time nor attention. Problems with pimples can be cured easily, problems with the spirit and soul take more time.

It also sounds like you just feel bad about your pimples but may not be clinically depressed, which would require medical or psychological intervention. I suggest that you first consult a competent dermatologist about your acne and its treatment. If that is not sufficient you may want to discuss your self-image problems with a psychotherapist.

If you have further general questions you may feel free to ask me anything on my discussion board. If you believe that you would be better served by speaking to me privately, my staff and I offer paid, confidential e-mail counseling and guidance. The charge is $20 per e-mail and can be paid through pay pal, e-gold or Pecunix gold, which are international internet currencies that maintain your confidentiality. I won't even know who you really are and will be giving you counseling based solely on the information you give me.

If I can be of further help please let me know.

Thank author of this post/commentTed, it's all right to have pimples. I have pimples in my teenage years. I'm so shy about it but I'm still outgoing as I really am. It didn't affect my self-esteem. People will like you who you are and will not base your worth from your appearance. You can try using some beauty products for pimples if you are too depressed about it.
