| A mental illnessPeople think of depression like itīs a weakness. They think people get "depressed" when they get sad or melancholic, and stop fighting against their inner phantoms.I know people who will cry when they think about their long dead mothers and fathers. Poor beings that, as Freud said, have never buried their folks. When people bury their dead they are beyond their mourning. Of course, "bury" psychologically, we mean. Anyway, depression is not mourning. Depression is a deep illness of the personality and does not depend on whether we are sad or not. People get great depressions at times when they should be happy. And, by the way, there is no way the people can "fight" their depression. It has to be faught with medication! |
| "A mental illness which can be helped naturally too!"
Hello, I personally think that a person suffering from a deep depression may very well need to take medication for a while, then the therapist/doctor help her/him to get off it gradually, as the person takes a resolve to undertake a deep therapy, which does not need to be long, to work through the root cause of the depression. Such therapy may well include rebirthing, being a method of very deep and chaotic breathing which puts us in touch with repressed emotions linked to traumatic events, which when re-lived clear the trauma from the body-mind of the patient. By the way, in a rebirthing session one can also experience bliss states! |
