Having A Relationship With A Bi Polar

Hi to all, is it hard to have a relationship with a bipolar person? I have this friend who is in love and is into a relationship with a bi polar guy. They had a hard time together but at the end of the day they are able to patch things up. Seeing them makes me wish of not having a relationship with a bi polar guy. Have a good day.
