| Friendly advice to help aid bipolar wife I have been married to my wife for little over 3 years now and we have two beautiful daughters together. She was diagnosed with bi-polar type 1 about year and a half ago, literally about a week after our second was born. From talking with her doctor she has probably had this illness since she was in 11th grade. I do what i can to help her. Help her keep scheduals, make sure she takes her meds on time, help with stressors and several other things. She was making some good improvements a while back and recently she has started falling again. She lashes out at me over petty things. I have gotten to the point where i do not know what else i can do for her, or myself. It is a hard road being bi-polar, for her and myself i know this. When she snaps it sometimes turn into arguements and unmentful things are said. The emotion of the arguement comes out. I know this is wrong on my part, and i try to hold back, but it is hard to do when its like a natural reaction. I later apologize for it verbally and in other ways such as breakfast in bed or something of the sort to show im sorry and didnt mean it. I how ever never recieve any type of apology. I guess i would just like to hear some friendly advice from others who have similar situations that could help us with ours. I am the only person i know who has this type of situation and it is hard to talk to anyone about it. |
