Bipolar Disorder

Thank author of this post/commentI recently started dating a many with Bipolar disorder, only

I didn't know it until after a month after which time he

showed me all of his pills he was taking. He told me he just

had General Anxiety Disorder with maybe some Bipolar mixed in

with it. Well, after dating him for over a month, I can tell

you that his behavior is consistent with bipolar. He would

get up and leave at inappropriate times. For example, one

Saturday night after dinner, he decided to leave at 8:00.

Then after 5 weeks of dating, he told me he would call me

the next day and didn't and wouldn't return my phone call.

After two weeks time, he emailed and said he would call me

the next week. He's divorced, loses jobs, lives at home

with his parents. He drives an old car which broke down one

time when we were together. He gets angry if I don't want

to ride in it. However, he's very intelligent and charming

and loves to wine and dine me which is how I fell for this

man. I don't think I can tolerate this behavior and I know

it will only get worse.

I dated a man last year with diagnosed bipolar, and although

I am not seeing him I am still emotionally confused as to his

behavior. He came on real strong and then confessed to his

disorder and then he just walked out on me. I still think about

him but won't contact him due to his cruel and unbalanced behavior. I never had an experience quite like this before. I don't know whether to speak my mind to him or just let it go.
