    cat pheromone plug in question?

    Thank author of this post/commentAfter months of my cat peeing on my couch, dog bed, laundry baskets, etc... i finally decided to take him to the vet (i was convinced they couldn't help me). Well they offered some insight in behavior modification, got my cat a new open litter box and bought one of those pheromone plug ins for the wall outlet (both suggestions from my vet) and thank god the peeing has stopped! But there has also been a weird "side effect" My cat gets up at 4 am daily and won't stop meowing... this was behavior he used to do as a kitten, but he hadn't done in over a year. Even then if my door was closed that would deter him from trying to wake me up. He also walks around the apartment and meows a lot more than he used to, he doesn't need anything, he actually does it a lot on the kitchen table. I've tried petting him, putting him on my lap, finding his tinsel balls for him to play with, nothing he just wants to meow. During the day is not as bad as the 4 am... i haven't had a good night sleep in a week! help!!!!! anyone using the pheromone plug in notice any of this behavior?
