In today's world, I think that most of our problems as a race begin and end with our faith. We have been taught by the churches that it is ok to go to the doctors and psychiatrists to have them heal us.If we would only listen to God and pray to Him to heal us, we would be without sickness and disease. Sin brings sickness and disease, but this comes from Satan and not God. If we repent and be truly sorry for our sin, and ask God for forgiveness and healing, I think we would find no need to turn to man for his solutions. God is always the solution.

We are sick because we eat crap instead of food.MAYBE if we were actually healthy we would have less desire to sin. Get healthy FIRST.

Well as far as i think if one wants to get healed by Christ he or should also have great amount of faith to ignore the world and look unto God. And health is also lost if you don't look after yourself.

I do believe in spritual healing and also the power of prayer, but certain diseases do need medication. Such as cancer, no amount of prayer or spritual healing will help you with the treatment.

You are kind of right in some point Single Mom but of course we should also take care of our body and not rely everything to God. Example, you don't sleep eight hours a day, pushing yourself too far by overworking and all of the sudden you felt sick. I believe that even how hard you ask God for strength and wisdom, but you still go on with that same stressful habit, do you think your health problem can be resolve by mere faith? God's ultimate gift is free will to humans and not reliance. Thoigh I maybe wrong.

even though Christ is my higher power i don't tink that just because I pray and ask him to heal me it desn't always work.

I believe in God even though I have never went to church and prayers were never said in my family. I like to pray for God to watch over me going into certain situations but I would like to pray more. What can I do to make my faith more powerful? I have never went to church so I need some help finding God in a better way.

Just checking in to see if anyone responded to my questions. If anyone has any information on how I can connect better with God I would greatly appreciate it.

Being healthy is part of the solution, but also god is the solution. He can heal all things and always guide you in the right direction.

There is no harm in seeking God's help in case of health issues but to be really healthy you must live healthy. It is what we eat that makes us healthy combine with proper lifestyle and hygiene. Pray to God that you may be blessed with food and money to be able to have all the necessary things and stuffs to be healthy. God Bless..

I believe that having an open mind and being sensitive will help solve conflicts and argument. A healthy body is also one of the top answers to behavior issues, whether one admits it or not being grumpy or moody is usually caused by fatigue, stress and poor health. A healthy mind and body is achieved by living right (having the right nutrition and proper diet and probably meditation) and of course a believe in a greater power which is all good and knowing.

Regarding with our health, we are the one who is responsible to it. I know some people who are religious but they have some incurable disease. It's you who is responsible for yourself in almost anything. You cannot depend it from others or from any belief. It's your action that makes things happen.

Hi Amy, this post is for you:1) Experiencing God's Presence (A method by Thom Gardner) a) Go to a quiet place & still your thoughts & emotions (Be still & know that I am God Psa. 46:10) b) Meditate on a verse of scripture, saying it softly over & over to yourself until you can say it (or a portion of it) with your eyes closed. As you repeat the scripture allow yourself to see it with the eyes of your heart. * What is the picture you see in your mind's eye as you repeat the scripture? * What does the scripture reveal about the heart of God? * What is the Lord speaking to you personally as you see the truth of this scripture? (Put your self in the picture of this scripture in your mind.) c) Take time to pray, saying to God what you have seen and heard from Him today.

God has power over all things on earth and I personally believe that with faith all things are possible. Have you read the proverb about Christ and the Mustard Seed? Faith combined with the power of positive thinking has created great successes for many people including against illness. Health wise, we are what we eat and as Bible believers we are supposed to be mindful of all that enters our bodies since we are the Temples of the Holy Spirit. We are supposed to shun greed and over-indulgence in favor of moderation and self-restraint at all times. In the midst of tribulation when we are very sick it is also important to remember that "Though I walk through the valley of the sahdow of death, I shall fear no evil..." that particular proverb is usually especially encouraging for me.... All the best.

Good eating habits are the key for maintaining and/or improving your health no matter what your age, gender, occupation or location. Of course, staying active plays a large role in overall health, but putting the wrong kind or wrong quantity of food in your body will keep you from being as healthy as you could be. Get the most nutrition out of your calories. - There is a proper number of calories for you to eat each day. The closer you are to that number, the better health you will enjoy. Of course, this number depends on a variety of factors including your age, activity level, and whether you're trying to gain, maintain, or lose weight. Choose the most nutritionally rich foods you can from each food group each day-those packed with vitamins, minerals, fiber, and other nutrients but lower in calories. Pick foods like fruits, vegetables, whole grains, nuts, and similar nutritionally valuable food products more often.

Just a thought! If all it took was to pray...then why do we need medicine, and doctors, and hospitals, and the rest. Even Christians take medicine and have surgery, no? Just asking because I want to know! Even the Pope broke his hand and had surgery. An angel should have come down and "viola!" Thatīs it. Then flown away. Cheers!

I believe in God but believes in science as well. If only all diseases and ailments are curable with prayers and faith on God then devoted Christians will have resistance to any form of sickness but that is not the case. We are created with an exhaustible body, not an immortal one, hence it is up to us to stay fit and healthy for us to live longer. God gave us free will but with that free will he also gave us the power to manage our lives.

Health manifests in very many areas of our lives, the most notable being the physical, spiritual and psychological aspects of our lives. It mainly concerns itself with what we have taught ourselves to believe in and whether modification of these behaviors ever crosses our minds. I still think that it is good to believe in God and seek professional help in fields that are beyond our scope because in a way or another, no one is perfect.

Have you heard those people who seek for supernatuaral healing and 'miraculously' healed? yes, there are cases of people who got healed with faith. I think the mind controls the body not just controls it but dictates to what state it should be. Like those people who thinks and thinks that they can be healed, and then they are healed. That is called mind over matter or the power of the mind.
The mind is truly a very powerful tool and it has shined its light through many a person, in many a form, and also on many a culture over the centuries that have past. There have been new awakenings and realizations met, each and every day of one's existence. It is mainly up to us to reach out, grab at and smother those opportunities whenever they decide to come knocking.

"In Control??"
Who is in control of your mind!?!?!?!?!
Only a person that has doubts about their own mental control would even pose such a question; leaving it so vague, Abbey.

I am in control of my own mind, is what I like to believe. • Page 1 (Original Post) • Page 2 (Newest Replies) •
