Good old anger management

It must be very hard to "manage" anger. In my case, anger just arises in me when I get hot under the collar.

Things arise, just like that.

I think that one of the main human traits - emotions, whatever - is anger.

Perhaps if humanity did not have that emotion it would never have come out of the caves.

It seems that anger is a drive to action, a strong drive.

Well, now that we are "civilized" it should have gone away. Right?

Would like some expert comments on this. I hear an anger management workshop somewhere ended up in a riot. The teacher even got whacked with a chair.

So what goes?
