    Answers: Holistic Remedies to Heal my Dog?

    Thank author of this post/commentMy 6 year old, otherwise extremely healthy and vivacious 68 lb. pointer/lab mix has recently been diagnosed with a ruptured tendon in his right rear knee. He is our baby and my husband and I are absolutely going to do whatever we have to to get him healed properly but when faced with a potential surgery, the extremely high cost of the procedure is definitely throwing a wrench in the works. I have been scouring the internet for alternate options and have found some great websites but wanted to know if anybody had any suggestions.....as apparently this is a fairly common injury in dogs. We are so sick of seeing him in pain. I have him on anti-inflammatories and glucosimine/chondroitan tablets as well as pain pills we give twice a day. Has anybody had any luck with alternative methods for healing this kind of injury? Maybe a brace as well? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
