Thank author of this post/commentChalk Talk on Alcohol is a three part discussion of the nations' number one public health problem, alcoholism. Father Martin discusses things we drink and why we drink them. Alcohol is a sedative drug and is addictive. Alcoholism is an addiction to that drug.

We all know how harmful drinking alcoholic beverages are to our health. And some would even get addicted and hooked in drinking and become alcoholic. But you know what, despite all of the health alerts and danger warnings about being alcoholic, some still drink alcohol. If only we would think of the ways to get ourselves out of the temptation of drinking alcoholic beverages. Have a good day to all.

Wow! Really amazing! I wish everybody get to hear this! I know that there are a lot of people who are suffering from severe alcoholism and they can't even stop or help themselves to drink. This problem have caused a lot of lives and have broke families in years. Alcoholism is really a pathetic situation and I do hope that nobody will engage into this anymore. Thank you so much and have a great day!

I understand some people's point if they turned to be addicted in drinking alcohol. But I think they should realize that this will greatly affect their health negatively and they are still the ones who will suffer the consequence.

I am convinced with what the person explained on the video about alcoholism. And I think people must learn to value themselves and minimize drinking liquor which will just lead them to sickness.

I live in Japan and am reltively drink free but that wasn't always the case. When I first arrived, looking back on it now, I was a full blown alcoholic! The difference is here, that much drinking is socially acceptable, almost expected in certain professions. There's no one to tell you on either an individual or societal level "hey buddy, you're addicted."
