How can i successfully return to Jehovah? I am an inactive witness of Jehovah and have been for years. I have a problem with alcoholism and if there are any witnesses that have gone through this please contact me. I want to return to my God but this is completely holding me back
I still believe that addiction is stoppable. As you can see this guy was hooked into alcoholism but then he was still able to realize his faith and decided to go back to his God. It is nice if you allow yourself to be exposed with the various situations in life because there is always a very nice realization that allows you transform. As for me, bible study can be of a great help.
I have to agree with what Marynor has said, there are still some ways to get out of addiction. Little by little you can decrease consumption of any alcoholic drinks and start diverting your mind to something else so you can forget about drinking. After sometime you will realize that you are out of your usual habit and that you are way much healthier you. Have a great day ahead to all.
I am so sorry to hear about your addiction. I know that you really want to return to Jehovah. One thing though, I think that it is best that you get over your addiction first, and after that when you are already okay, you can already return to them. They will of course accept you when they see that you are determined to come back. Thank you so much and have a great day!
That is really a sad truth. Well, I am not a Jehovah's witnesses, but I think, the problem that you have is common in the world that we have today. Many people are now aware of the great stuffs that is affected by their being addicted to that thing. I hope the faith that you have will lead you to the changes that you want and it will be done, only by you and aided by God.
I am not a Jehovah's witness, but I believe in God in much the same way that you do. I would suggest you just give yourself back to him the way you are, ask for his forgiveness and for His help in overcoming this addiction. That way you'll have His power to help you and will be able to give Him the glory afterwards for the way He chooses to answer your prayers.
